 The Meghalaya Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd., hereinafter also referred to as the “Bank”, a premier Scheduled Bank in Meghalaya, invites applications only from genuine citizens of India who are domiciles of Meghalaya for one (1) post of Engineer (Civil) – I  under Grade 3 (A)(1). The eligibility criteria as on 1st April, 2026, for the above post are prescribed as under:

        A candidate must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification
  • Must have at least a  B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised university, with proficiency in relevant computer applications.
  1. Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of service and / or experience in civil engineering works (Government/PSU/private).
  1. Age Limit
  • Maximum 35 years of age as on 1stApril, 2026
  1. Nationality and  Domicile
  • Must be a citizen of India
  • Must be a Domicile of Meghalaya.
  1. Other Requirements
  • Applicants are required to have achieved the minimum pass marks in either Khasi or Garo during their Secondary School Leaving Certificate (or equivalent / higher) examination. Alternately, a candidate may choose to undergo a proficiency examination to assess his / her  proficiency in one of these languages if his / her academic records do not meet this criterion.

        Applications in the prescribed format (Annexure – I) may be submitted along with self-attested copies of supporting certificates/testimonials. Completed applications are to be sent in a sealed envelope by Post/Courier or dropped in a designated box at Head Office superscribed “Application for the Post of Engineer (Civil) – I” and addressed to “The Manager, General Administration Division, The Meghalaya Co-operative Apex Bank Ltd., M.G. Road, Head Office, Shillong – 793001” so as to reach on or before the 30th of April, 2026, 5:00 p.m. The Bank shall not be responsible for any delay in postal delivery/ courier service. Applications submitted through any other means including at the reception counter of the Bank or to any official of the Bank will not be considered even if receipt of the same is acknowledged.  

   Important:

  1. No application fee is required.
  2. Merely satisfying the prescribed eligibility criteria do not entitle a candidate to be called for the selection process. The Bank reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for the interview after preliminary screening / short listing with reference to a candidate’s qualifications, experience, suitability, etc. The decision of the Bank in this regard shall be final and binding.
  3. It may be noted that the roles, responsibilities, duties, etc., for the above posts will be as assigned by the Bank from time to time.
  4. An application will be rejected if it is found that the candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria.
  5. Self-attested photocopies of the following documents, are to also be submitted along with the application in the prescribed format as attached. a. Marks Sheet / Grade Sheet, Pass Certificate, etc., in support of educational qualifications from Matriculation onwards. b. ST / SC / OBC / PH Certificate, where applicable, issued by a competent authority. c. Certificate(s) in support of work experience. A decision as to the suitability of such work experience for the said post rests solely with the Bank. d. The Bank reserves the right to call for more supporting documents if it deems necessary. e. Originals of documents may be verified at any appropriate time as decided by the Bank.
  6. The Bank reserves the right to change any condition of recruitment mentioned herein. Further the Bank reserves the right to cancel/amend the entire /part of the process of recruitment at any time without assigning any reason thereof. However, communication in this regard will be placed on the Bank’s website, i.e., bank.in.
  7. Any other information, updates, will be posted on the Bank’s website and the Bank is not necessarily bound to communicate the same through any other means to the candidates. Hence, candidates are advised to visit the Bank’s website from time to time in connection with their application.
  8. Applicants working in government entities (including public sector undertakings, etc.) should produce a “No Objection Certificate” in original if called for interview.
  9. The Bank may call for further information from a candidate if deemed necessary by the Bank. 
  10. It will be the entire responsibility of the candidate to provide correct information along with the application and to submit the correct documents. The Bank reserves the right to reject applications incomplete in any way.
  11. Candidates will be required to appear for the examination/ interview, if called, at their own expense and no allowances including TA/DA/HA will be paid for the purpose. 
  12. If, on verification at any stage, it is found that applicants / candidates do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the post will automatically be cancelled by the Bank without notice. Hence, before applying, a candidate should ensure that he / she fulfils the eligibility criteria mentioned in this advertisement.
  1. The Pay Scale for the position is ₹45114-1168/9-55626-1314/3-59568-1460/11-75628-1606/11-93294-1752/4-96798-1898/2-100594-2044/2-104682-2336/2-109354-2628/1-111982 -2774 / 13 - 148044 plus other allowances as admissible. However, during the probationary period, only the basic pay and dearness allowance are admissible.
  2. The decision of the Bank in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the documents to be produced and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding. No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained by the Bank in this regard.
