Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS)

Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) is a payment service that allows a bank customer to use Aadhaar as his/her identity to access his/her Aadhaar enabled bank account and perform basic banking transactions like the following

i. Cash Withdrawal
ii. Balance Enquiry
iii. Mini Statement
iv. Aadhaar to Aadhaar Fund Transfer

Aadhaar Consent

I/We hereby submit voluntarily at my/our own discretion, the physical copy of Aadhaar Card / physical e- Aadhaar / masked Aadhaar / offline electronic Aadhaar xml as issued by UIDAI (Aadhaar), to the Meghalaya Co-operative Apex Bank Limited (the Bank) for the purpose of establishing my/ our identity / address proof and hereby voluntarily grant my consent to the Bank for Account Opening/Re-KYC and to enable AEPS services through Aadhar based e-KYC authentication/Biometric authentication/OTP authentication in my name in individual capacity or in the name of the proprietorship firm/partnership firm/company/LLP /Trust/Society in the capacity of its authorised signatory / beneficial owner.

I/We hereby consent to the Bank for verification of my/our Aadhaar to establish its genuineness through online/offline verification or any other mode as prescribed or permitted by UIDAI or under any act or law from time to time. The consent and purpose of collecting Aadhaar has been explained to me/us in local language. The Bank has informed me/us that my/our Aadhaar submitted with the Bank herewith shall not be used for any other purpose other than those mentioned above, or as per requirement(s) under applicable law(s). Bank has confirmed that it shall not collect/use/store my/our Aadhaar number or biometric information for any purpose except as permitted under applicable laws.

I/We hereby declare that all the information is voluntarily furnished by me and same is true, correct and complete. I will not hold the Bank or any of its official responsible for any incorrect information provided by me.

It has been informed by the Bank, that:

  1. Submission of Aadhaar is not mandatory, and there are alternative options for KYC and establishing identity including by way of physical KYC with officially valid documents other than Aadhaar. All options were given to me.
  2. For e-KYC/authentication/offline verification, Bank will share Aadhaar number and/or biometrics with UIDAI, and UIDAI in response will share with Bank the authentication data, Aadhaar data, demographic details, registered mobile number, identity information, which shall be used for the enabling my account for Aadhaar enabled Payment Services (AEPS).

I do hereby authorise and give my consent to the Bank as stated above.
